90 Eglinton Ave. East, Suite 810

Dear Bishop Bergie,
I am writing to ask for your help to increase awareness of the National Association of Catholic Nurses-Canada (NACN-Canada). We launched in 2018 with the approval of Cardinal Thomas Collins. We are affiliated with CICIAMS, the International Committee of Catholic Nurses and Medico-Social Assistants (Advanced Practice Nurses and Nurse Practitioners). CICIAMS is an international Private Association of the Faithful that collaborates with the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Health Care Workers, the Pontifical Council of the Family, the Pontifical Council of the Laity and the WHO.
NACN-Canada’s current activities address our goals to
- integrate members’ prayer life and participation in the sacraments with their moral life and professional practice
- mentor or be mentored by Catholic colleagues in the health professions
- access resources related to ethical issues in health care
- contribute to public discourse on health care issues
I offer the following short announcement for use in parish bulletins:
National Association of Catholic Nurses-Canada (NACN-Canada) Our goal is to align professional practice with faith through prayer, fellowship, mentoring, access to resources regarding ethical issues and participation in public discourse.
